Restaurant Chez Pepe in Pike River

Very disappointing!!! Sunday it closes at 8 p.m., we call before going. When we arrived around 6.30am, the door was closed to us in the face and no one wanted to open it.Then she finally opened me to tell me that she closes when she wants and all because of some drops of rain.

Very good food, good portion and fresh food. Much better since the restaurant was bought by new owners.

Meals are expensive ... but fish & chip dish is good

Ceaser salad was okay, cheese bread was disappointing and the onion soup was just okay too. Staff was attentive and friendly and the decor was interesting with the boats inside the restaurant.

Stopped in for some poutine before I headed back to the states. I'm not a big fan of poutine, but this was tasty. Gravy was not overly salty or too heavy as I've experienced in the past. I will say the shredded chicken didn't really do anything for the dish, hence one less star. I think their other poutine options may be a bit more complex in taste, I had the poutine au poulet, pictured here. I'd recommend trying another kind of poutine dish if you want depths of flavor. If you're looking to keep it simple, this dish is for you. It's overall a cute place to visit for a quick bite, but I was annoyed by the number of flies in the dining room, another reason they lost the one star. They also accept card payments, which was nice since I didn't have any cash with me.

The Truck parking lot had my curiosity, but the food got my attention 🤠

Any place that is half full with people having lunch at 1pm on a Thursday is worth checking out, we did. Nice varied menu, food was hot and tasty and care was taken with it's presentation. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The menu is in French but the waitress was very helpful explaining and translating our questions. Our meal included soup, main and dessert for two for less than 35.00$. I look forward to stopping here again on our way to Montreal.

It's nice, it's clean, the scallops with rice are excellent! (keep it that way) The service is impeccable. The affordable price for the quality offered. The world is warm and great! A meticulous cook. Well done.
